Rules
- Mapping metrics are used to measure operators performance.
- The reward will be measured with Spotcoins.
- 100 Spotcoins are equivalent to $1
- The validated rewards can be redeemed. The pending rewards can't be redeemed. They need to be validated.
- No rewards outside of cities where we need data
- The error rate will be computed based on the latest edits.
Roles
How to get a role
Newbie-map-maker
is the role given to new comers. After they make 100 edits, the error rate is calculated and it determines if they're going to be promoted or demoted.
- If they have x ≤ 5% errors, they become
map-maker
- If they have > 5% errors, they're blocked.
map-maker
can be promoted to elite-map-maker
if they have ≤1% error rate for 10,000 edits.
elite-map-maker
can be demoted to map-maker
if they have 1% < x ≤ 5% errors for 10,000 edits
- An
elite-map-maker
can become a map-validator
if they keep having ≤ 1% errors for 20,000 edits
- Any one with > 5% errors will be blocked.
map-validator
can be nominated by moderators to become admin
. Admins are not QAed and should act in the interest of the community. If they don’t report abuse or commit fraud, they will be demoted.
QA
- Every role can QA the edits of the ranks below them.

Community Pool

💡 The Community Pool is the budget we will allocate to our community contributors - map makers building the maps and Angels adding parking sign pictures and reporting open spots.

Pool logic
- We will fund the pool at the beginning of the month with 50% of the subscription money of the previous month.
- When the pool will be 90% exhausted, we will reduce the new rewards issued by half. We will do that again when the pool is 95% exhausted, 97.5%, etc. until it is refilled again.
This way we will keep our budget under control and will align the incentives of our community of contributors with those of the company.
