You need to first understand the Garages Properties.
Customer vs Public Garages
We need to mark as customer garages that are not open for public :
- Reserved for shopping (supermarkets, fast-food shops) customers. If you are not sure, do a google search of the property name. (unmark as monthly visible)
- Restaurants, Churches, Shops garages. (these should still appear as monthly visible)
- Private locations like a garage that belongs to tenants of a building or residents of a neighborhood, these garages are usually found next to residential buildings and display a "private garage" or "for tenants only" sign or no signs at all. (these should still appear as monthly visible)
Garages that are open for public have a logo of an operator (google search the name if you are not sure) or display rates or a sign that the garage is for public.
If you are not sure if a garage is open for public or not, ask the team in the #map-makers channel.
Note: If you find the Spothero-personal-spot operator, please remove it.
Bookable Garages
- If a garage is bookable in transient , do not modify the operator or the hourly rates.
- If a garage is bookable in monthly, do not change the operator or the the monthly rates.
- Bookable garages should not be marked as "customer only" and should not be deleted.
Check the existing garages
We will need to make sure we clean the data of already existing garages:

Remove the duplicate garages or the locations that are no longer active

Add entrance, name, type if not already done.
- If there is no name, leave it blank → no need to add the address of the location as the name

If you find the name of the operator, make sure to add it.

Correct footprit if circular shape.
